Not all liquid commodities are created equal, and therefore neither are the tank cars used to transport them! Because each axle on a freight car can only carry so much weight, moving more dense liquids like corn syrup, molasses, and liquid sugar by rail requires a smaller capacity tank car like this Trinity 17,600 gallon model. Trinity produced thousands of these cars between 1984 and 1998, most of which remain in active service on America’s freight railroads. Our model’s small, lightweight design allows it to handle standard R40 curve track and makes it perfect for small and/or switching-focused layouts.

The truck design on this model uses our bearing wheelsets for added performance and realism.
