EMD F40PH

The F40PH designed by EMD and went on sale in 1975 to 1993 was a passenger locomotive based on the GP40-2 road switcher. Originally adopted by Amtrak (BTD instructions to be release soon) and used by many other commuter railroads around the country. The F40PH and its variants make up the bulwark of Chicago’s Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) commuter network later called Metra.
The F40PH was originally designed with a 1500 gallon fuel tank (optional build) and later upgraded as standard equipment to an 1800 gallon fuel tank (main build). The BTD instructions are for the F40PH in the blue Metra livery and (coming soon) Amtrak Phase 3. They can be easily adapted to other roads as well. This model is designed for Lego® Powered-Up components or other 3rd party power and control systems. There are some 3rd party parts that are required in this model. These are listed below along with their respective vendors. Note, these quantities are for the main model (1800 gallon fuel tank)
