If you are having trouble getting your parts into Bricklink for ordering you can follow these steps:

  1. Login to Bricklink or create an account

  2. Under the want tab click upload.

  3. Click Upload Bricklink XML Format

  4. Open the XML file on your computer (the XML file must be copied and pasted into the dialog box on bricklink).

  5. Click proceed to verify items.

  6. After you have verified the items click add to wanted list.

  7. Click buy all and select which stores you want to purchase from.

Buying From BrickLink

 

 Thank you for purchasing one of our instruction kits! Shortly after your purchase, you should have received an XML file in your inbox. This file contains the LEGO part numbers, colors and quantities necessary to successfully construct your model. If you have never ordered from BrickLink before, it may seem like a complex process. This article will help guide you through the rather quite simple process!

Getting started

Below is a list of a few things you will need to get started:

  • BrickLink account

  • PayPal account

  • XML file provided to you for your model

Adding parts to a wanted list

BrickLink “Wanted Lists” are an excellent tool to utilize for keeping track of all the parts required for your model, also allowing you notate directly in your list which parts you may already have in your collection

Step 1

Login to your BrickLink account. Then navigate to the “Want” button in the upper right corner.

Step 2

Select the “Upload” tab, and then the “Upload BrickLink XML format” tab. Open the XML file in your favorite text editor. Select all the text then copy and paste the entirety of the contents in your XML file into the text box. Click “Verify” to proceed.

Step 3

After parts have been added, scroll through and specify which parts you already have on-hand. Do this by editing the “Have” quantity for each line. When finished, click the “Buy All” button to purchase the remaining parts necessary.

Step 4

From here, there are many ways to populate multiple shopping carts from BrickLink stores around the world. We recommend changing the “Continent” field to your homeland, and then clicking the “Auto Select” button.

Step 5

Once you have all necessary shopping carts in queue, click the “Create Carts” button. After all carts have been created, you will need to visit each store individually for checkout. Some stores are set up to take payment immediately, while others will send you an invoice via email, typically within 24 hours. Be sure the shipping address associated with your PayPal account matches the shipping address specified in your BrickLink account, and that you have email notifications on as you wait for invoices.
